I was looking through the minti traffic stats the other day and saw that StumbleUpon is a pretty good referrer to Minti.
Have you ever used StumbleUpon?
It is a cool browser toolbar which allows you to find new content on the net that you are likely to enjoy.
What really helps Minti is if people give click the "I like it!" button on the SyumbleUpon toolbar when on Minti webpages (ie: articles, Q&A, blog post, etc).

Please people, respect the Code of Honor...
The Minti Code of Honor
- Above all else, respect others. If you see disrespectful behavior, report it, rather than further inflaming the situation. You can attack the idea/topic, but you can not attack the person.
- Before you write, rank, tag or comment, ask yourself if your contribution increases the strength and virtue of the community.
- Minti is for collaborative advice and discussion of the parenting ideas, not self-promotion. Posting full articles which also appear on your blog is acceptable but purely seeding your own links is not.
- To keep Minti's positive atmosphere, personal conflict/issues between members should be handled privately.
- Keep your titles accurate and free of sensationalistic language, the community will appreciate it.
- Although full internationalization is important to Minti, please keep all posts and comments in English until the website is launched in other languages.
- Keep Minti tidy by tagging for accuracy rather than for readership, editing titles to be compact and descriptive, and referencing your contribution to the original source in a respectful and legal manner where applicable

If you are in Perth make sure you attend the Perth Baby Expo this weekend and say hi to Zoe and Paula at the Hush Postnatal/Minti stand.
As you enter the Expo main entrance keep to the left hand side and I think the Hush Postnatal/Minti stand is about the 10th stand.
Note: Hush Postnatal is a great service, Rachel and I use them on a regular basis. Their website is here (but it is currently down as I type this). Make sure you check out their services when you are at the expo.
Note 2: Zoe and Paula have been kind enough to agree to hand out Minti brochures when they hand out their own brochures.
perth Venue: Claremont Showgrounds, Claremont
Date: Friday 15 to Sunday 17 August, 2008
Time: 10 to 4 Friday, 10 to 5 Saturday & Sunday
Here is the website. |

We have just posted a new survey.
- Check it out and complete it.
- To find it go to your Minti member page and click on the "surveys" link in your left hand navigation links.
- You will receive m$1000 for completing it.
- Please blog and let others know about it's existence as we don't yet have an alert system for new surveys.
- Note: It contains controversial questions.
- Your individual results are kept private.
Thanks much,

I notice that TechCrunch was promoting a new moms site the other day and was disappointed that Minti didn't get a mention.
If you love Minti and have 3 mins spare, feel free to leave a real comment (please NO spam) why you prefer Minti at the bottom of the TechCrunch article.
Note: TechCrunch is a Tech focused blog so they tend to focus on the site functionality, and unfortunately care less about the warm fuzzy stuff ;) |
